Old Town has been a great neighborhood to live in. It has close proximity to Lincoln Park, the Lakefront, the zoo, and Armitage/Wells street shopping. Add to that an easy commute into the cities Loop and you’ll understand why we feel that this neighborhood is the best location to live in in the city. Whether heading out for a long walk threw the park, grabbing a healthy snack at Pinkberry or a treat at Kilwins, the neighborhood has always had something to offer.
There is also easy access to a number of famous establishments in the city including; ribs at Twin Anchors, a selection of comedy shows at Second City or just a drink with friends at bars and restaurants ranging from Benchmark, Pour House or an easy Italian meal at Topo Gigio. We also love visiting Green City market in the summer or stopping in A New Leaf for fresh flowers to decorate our home.
An easy carry out location for pizza at Homemade Pizza company always comes in handy and weekend breakfast needs could be satisfied with a nice walk to Toast, a quick quiche at La Fournete or diner style breakfast at Elly’s Pancake house. In the last few years we have also seen some finer dining establishments with great food come into the neighborhood including Gemini Bistro, Rustic House and Perennial in the bottom of the Lincoln Hotel. With so many factoring company and options of places to go and things to do in this neighborhood, it has always been fun and easy! And for the days or nights that we just wanted to stay in and relax, the neighborhood is very laid back and the side streets are quiet offering the best of both worlds. After spending years in the city and living in many neighborhoods including Streeterville, Lincoln Park and Lakeview, this has been the easiest and most enjoyable neighborhood by far!
