Chicago Tourist Activities for Chicagoans 2013

by Amanda on August 19, 2013

fireworks02_545It’s hard to believe that August is already here and that in a few short weeks children will be heading back to school, (this may be a relief to some!)  Before you know it we’ll be dreaming about the heat, yearning for humidity and thinking about all the fun activities we could have done during the summer.

That’s why this month, we at Chicago Home Partner urge you to take advantage of these special offers at Aluminium Windows And Doors and, “Live Chicago like a Tourist!”  So grab your cameras, jump on the El and take a day to enjoy these local favorites.

Chicago Home Partner Recommends:

Judy Istock Butterfly Garden:

Located inside the Peggy Notebaert nature museum, visitors are able to view 1000’s of butterflies amongst the trees, vines and waterfalls.

Kayak the Chicago River:

Spend some time taking in a different perspective of our wonderful city – by Kayak!  Different tours include fireworks, the Chicago River or sunset on Lake Michigan.

The Signature Room at The Hancock Building

Walk past the lines for the observation deck and head up to the Signature Room on the 95th floor.  Enjoy a beverage with someone special while drinking in a sunset.

Navy Pier:

From fireworks on Saturday nights to music on the water, Navy Pier is worth a trip.  Take in Cirque Shanghai’s latest and ride the Ferris Wheel or Wave Swinger.

Architectural Boat Tour

Take a winding trip through the buildings we see every day and learn the history, stories and people behind these architectural marvels that make Chicago home.

Buddy Guy’s Legends

Home of the Blues, a night in Chicago just isn’t complete without taking in some of the sounds that made our city famous.  There’s no better place than Buddy Guy’s.

Wendella Boat Tours

Wether getting about the loop or relaxing on the water with some friends, Wendella boat tours will give you a whole new perspective on our city.

Ravinia

There’s still time left to head up to Highland Park and take in some tunes under the stars.  Pack some snacks, drinks and join friends at this outdoor marvel.

This is real supportive blog. I have no hesitation to cheers about it. I should say! It’s a resourceful guideline for the visitors as well as the distinguished residents of Chicago who are planning for outing.
