Last Saturday, on the eve of the breaking of the great 2012 Chicago Heatwave, I found myself sharing a very intimate evening with 50,000 others listening to country sensation Kenny Chesney. (There it’s out – I’m a closet country music fan!)
With our daily lives filled to capacity, I like many, don’t often take advantage of the fact that there’s SO MUCH MUSIC in Chicago. However with all of these choices, when I think about music in the Summer I can’t help but think about Ravinia.
Since 1904, Ravinia has been Chicago’s “sound of summer,” a place where you can have a wonderful time and hear some of the greatest music in the world. It has become a Chicago Tradition to many, with the “Ravinia Experience” sharing time with friends under the Oaks and stars.
