Enjoy a Chicago Staycation with Free Museum Days in 2011

Sue Field Museum ChicagoAs we make our way through August and Summer begins drawing to a close, (Alas… it’s true), I’d like to make an end-of – season recommendation to all of you.  Take a “staycation” in Chicago for Free!

Staycation:

A “staycation” is a newly coined term for a period of time in which an individual or family stays and relaxes at home, possibly taking day trips to area attractions. – Wikipedia.com

Being that we live in one of the best cities in the world for art, music and museums there is no better place to plan a day trip with family and friends.  How long has it been since you’ve taken a day and, “played tourist”?

Best of all, many of our most popular exhibits offer Chicago, (or state resident), Free Days throughout the year.  Below I have included some upcoming dates for some of my personal favorites.

Now you have NO excuse not to get out there and enjoy our city!  You can even REALLY play tourist and walk around Michigan Avenue with a map out to see if anyone helps you!
