Chicago City Gardening Tips for Spring

by Amanda on April 26, 2023

Chicago welcomed Spring with open arms earlier this month as temperatures hit the low 70’s, causing residents to flock outdoors. The local real estate market has also contributed to the warming up of the city with well-priced listings flying off the market, and CHP buyers winning out in competitive multiple bid situations!

One of the many delights of Spring in Chicago is the emergence of color throughout the different neighborhoods. From the dogwoods in Roscoe Village to the lilac bushes in Lakeview backyards, purple buds are pushing through, and daffodils can be found in abundance.

Many home buyers dream of being able to design beautiful flower boxes or landscape their new properties. Even condo owners want to bring the outside in and decorate their homes with flowering plants. Although the concept of “bringing the outside in” isn’t new, not everyone possesses the knowledge and skill to make it happen, (like me!).

That’s why this month, we’ve providing tips, tricks, and personal recommendations to get your gardening on. Regardless of the type of home you own, our suggestions provide guidance to beautify it and make your neighbors envious.

Read on to check out our suggestions and let us know if we missed anything!
